Our Approach
We seek to constantly find ways to reduce our carbon footprint whilst at the same time providing a unique and luxurious guest experience in Edinburgh.
Our three holiday home properties in Edinburgh’s World Heritage New Town were built in the early 1800’s and whilst this presents several
challenges for us in meeting ecological objectives, we are constantly striving to find new and innovative ways to be better wherever we can.
It also helps that Edinburgh is the 'Greenest' city in the United Kingdom!
With Your Help
We appreciate that genuinely carbon neutral holidays can be achieved through a sustainable lifestyle.
This is why we encourage all our guests to help us reach our carbon neutral goals by conserving water,
preserving electricity and gas, using vehicles only when absolutely necessary, and recycling all rubbish where possible.
That Extra Step
Managing our carbon footprint is a challenge and one we appreciate may not always result in a net zero outcome!
On this basis we can offer you the chance to offset your journey to Edinburgh by planting a tree in the Scottish Highlands!
We have linked-up with Trees For Life who can plant trees in the Scottish Highlands on your behalf.
Your trees will be planted alongside other native trees, and in time will transform open hillsides into healthy young woodland, helping to restore the Caledonian Forest. This rich habitat will support wildlife such as red squirrel, black grouse, capercaillie, pine marten and golden eagle.
It's cheaper than you think! Please see the link below for details:
